Friends, with the arrival of autumn comes change – the time of ripening harvest and, in our case, the time of grape picking. With the arrival of autumn, we have also prepared for you the arrival of our new white wines of the 2024 vintage and a new red wine of the 2022 vintage.
In these wines, the best of nature comes together – soil, climate, and sun, which give the grapes their unique character. Discover the freshness and energy of our new white wines, as well as the depth and maturity of the red Cabernet, which will brighten your autumn moments with family and friends.
From the Suchý vrch vineyard we bring you a delicate, creamy, and elegant Pinot Gris 2024, BIO, aged on fine lees in concrete eggs. In the aroma of this Pinot you will find notes of figs, dates, and ripe pears, while the taste is marked by harmony and purity.
From the same vineyard comes also Sauvignon Blanc 2024, BIO. This wine will charm you with aromas of ripe gooseberries, elderflower, and vineyard peach. On the palate it is juicy, with a medium-full fruity taste.
At Suchý vrch, our dry Rhein Riesling 2024, BIO also ripened, characterized by a rich fruity aroma reminiscent of ripe tropical fruit and linden blossom, and a full fruity taste. This wine gained its unique character during four months of maturation on fine lees in concrete eggs.
From the southeastern slopes of Modra, from the Ingle vineyard, comes our novelty Grüner Veltliner 2024, BIO, which captivates with a delicate fruity-spicy aroma of citrus and white pepper, and whose taste is defined by firm acidity and a clean mineral finish. For the first time in the history of our winery, thanks to the warm summer of 2024, this vineyard produced an semi-dry wine – and we believe it truly suits it.
The year 2024 can once again be defined as a year of Rhein Rieslings and Grüner Veltliners. This year also brought us a beautiful Rhein Riesling from the granite vineyard Kramáre in Modra and a tropical Grüner Veltliner from the vineyrd Noviny in Modra.
In the aroma of the Rhein Riesling 2024, BIO, from Kramáre, you can sense a combination of exotic fruit, lime, and pineapple. Its rich taste is distinctly mineral with a juicy, long aftertaste. The wine matured for six months in concrete eggs.
And what about our Grüner Veltliner 2024, BIO, from Noviny? It is dominated by a fruity-herbal bouquet reminiscent of citrus fruit, pineapple, and white pepper. On the palate, it is full and smooth with a long, spicy-mineral finish. Its unique character was formed by spontaneous fermentation and four months of aging on fine lees using the sur lie method in an oak barrel.
And finally, a red wine that brings depth to this new collection – Cabernet Sauvignon 2022 from the Suchý vrch vineyard. Its aroma interweaves a spectrum of floral-spicy and sweet notes with a hint of cinnamon. It was created through two years of aging in barrique barrels. The taste is full, with pleasantly structured and balanced tannins.
