Success of Our Wines at Vitis Aurea Modra 2026

We are very pleased with the success of our wines at the jubilee 25th edition of the Vitis Aurea Modra 2026 competition, where expert panels evaluated more than 300 wine samples. The competition was held under the leadership of renowned Slovak oenologist Prof. Fedor Malík, and once again confirmed the high level of Slovak winemaking.

Our greatest joy came from Aurelius 2019, a raisin selection wine, which scored 93 points and became the champion of the naturally sweet wines category. It is a wine born in the Suchý vrch vineyard, carrying both the character of this site and the patience required for its creation.

The wine shows a deep amber colour with high intensity, aromas of dried fruit, figs and honey. The palate is full and fruity, supported by fresh acidity that brings balance. The finish is sweet, long and gently spicy. Aurelius is also a vegan and low-histamine wine, best enjoyed well chilled, for example paired with blue cheeses.

This success naturally follows its previous awards from both domestic and international competitions, where it has consistently confirmed its quality.

We are also pleased with another achievement – a silver medal for our sparkling Pinot Noir 2022, extra dry. The wine impressed with its elegance, harmony and fine bubbles, which highlight its fresh character.

Moments like these confirm that the path we have chosen in winemaking makes sense. Wine is born in the vineyard, and we strive to preserve its origin as purely as possible in every bottle.

Thank you for your recognition and support. It moves us forward and motivates us to continue making our wines the way we do.
